Abortion rights advocates have preferred more scientific terms. That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. But I suppose it's what you can expect from Ruth Bader Ginsberg and AP.
Abortion lovers are famous for their shifty use of language. They will not admit that a fetus is ALIVE. They will not admit that abortion KILLS a human being in the earliest stages of life. They will not admit that a fetus is HUMAN. They will not even speak the word "abortion" unless they are cornered, because "choice" sounds better. But their so-called "choice" only allows one answer.

If Justice Ginsberg is going to resort to rhetoric she had best be careful! Anyone who can hear a graphic description of a partial birth abortion and then start arguing terminology probably doesn’t have enough functioning heart matter to exclude themselves from their own abortion criteria!

She didn’t think that was true.

Hell... fetus isn’t even specific, it’s a generic term used mainly for mammals in the womb. So what specifically is it they are aborting? They’ve already established “it” is alive. Could it possibly be a human being? Gasp! It’s a baby human!

An obvious attempt on her part to abstract the language to make the unborn child appear non-human. A favorite trick of the pro-abort mentality. The term “products of conception” is another term they like use.
