Detectives say Cho Seung-Hui repeatedly watched the South Korean movie Oldboy in the days leading up to the massacre in which 32 people were killed

A South Korean version of "Travis Bickle" angle to this mass killing.

Gee, was he manipulated into having sex with his long lost daughter too?

Was he locked up in a hotel room for 15 years and fed nothing but dumplings?

This guy was so nuts that he could have looked at Bugs Bunny toons and got the same message.

I’m sure it won’t be too long before somebody notices that “Oldboy” sounds a lot like “Al-Dubai.” Just to maintain that tenuous Islamic connection, doncha know.

The package, addressed to NBC News head Steve Capus, bears a postal stamp in the two-hour window between the first shooting and the second, in which Cho killed himself.

It was sent Fed-Ex, right? Doesn't this just mean it was picked up out of the box sometime between the 1st and 2nd shootings?

Couldn't he have put it IN the box anytime since the previous pickup time, which I presume could have been as long ago as Saturday?

I'm not saying he COULDN'T have mailed it during the 2 hours, but is there any real evidence he took the time to walk to a fed-ex box to post it?

“Oldboy” was the name of a school in the movie, and the flick is based on a Japanese manga.

It’s time for some common sense movie control laws.

Once again, we have to obsess over the pathetic life of a total loser, all because the students and faculty of VT were disarmed by the Virginia Legislature.

Maybe it was "If . . ."
There is a pretty good scene
of school shooting there!

Cho’s ramblings are the same ramblings that you can find in the mind of any socialist/communist. Hatred for those who are successful, wealthy and the children of that wealth. Is Virgina Tech run by Conservatives? No, it’s run by socialists and they are singularly responsible for planting the seeds of discontent in this mans mind. That he went on a rampage and slaughtered so many, is the logical extension of their words.

It was sent US Postal Service priority mail, received by a postal clerk. The postmark has a timestamp.

Yup.

It was the rampant, PC indoctrination prevelent on campus that allowed this psycho to go on his rampage unfettered. Toss out all the sappy crap we've been fed since they closed down the nuthouses... this loon was a friggin' senior in college! He's been nuts all his life and no one had the guts to do anything about it.

It was sent by USPS express mail. I imagine he could have filled out the envelope beforehand and arranged for a pickup.

You mean they have violent movies in other countries???? I never would have guessed. I thought it was the “American” culture of violence that drove him to it. /s

You mean they have violent movies in other countries????

Yep. And they are far more violent than anything allowed over here. I'll bet that Battle Royale from Japan was a big favorite of Cho's, too. You can't get THAT movie here unless you get from Hong Kong. Amazon has bootlegs of it for sale as well.
