"How many more will have to die before we say enough is enough?” Edgar asked. “How many more senseless deaths will have to be counted before we enact meaningful firearms abortion control in this country?

How many more of our pastors, rabbis and imams will have to preside over caskets of innocent victims of gun abortion violence because a nation refused to stop the proliferation of these small weapons of mass destruction abortion?”

How many more senseless deaths will have to be counted before we enact meaningful firearms control stop depriving law abiding citizens of the means to defend themselves in this country?

There, fixed it.

“One of the major obstacles to effective global regulation of small arms and light weapons is the pro-gun position adopted by the U.S. administration during years of international negotiations,” Kobia quickly asserted, connecting the Virginia Tech murders to the global depredations of the United States. “The news from Virginia today is little different than the news from Darfur yesterday and the news from Iraq tomorrow,” he asserted. After all, Blacksburg, Virginia, like Darfur and Iraq, has “wanton killings, the indiscriminate use of armed force and the widespread availability of deadly weapons.”

This cr@p offends me. Looking at all the mayhem around the world, the militants, terrorists and psychos are all toting KALASHNIKOVS. I’m not aware of a SINGLE ONE of them being manufactured in the United States.

Could someone please show me the press releases from this organization in the ‘60s, ‘70’s, ‘80s or 90s when the Commies were dumping MILLIONS of them into the 3rd world?

Cho’s ramblings are the same ramblings that you can find in the mind of any socialist/communist. Hatred for those who are successful, wealthy and the children of that wealth. Is Virgina Tech run by Conservatives? No, it’s run by socialists and they are singularly responsible for planting the seeds of discontent in this mans mind. That he went on a rampage and slaughtered so many, is the logical extension of their words.

God wants a society where guns are not necessary, and indeed He moved the profit Isaiah to write of a time when swords would be turned into agricultural tools (Is. 2:4), a passage that is the theme of a bronze statue in front of the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

However, until evil is restrained and humanity is changed to have a new heart and a new spirit (Ezekiel 11:19), then people must be able to protect themselves. Indeed, they have the obligation to their loved ones to do so.

Another nitwit. Bob Edgar, one of the 2/3 brain dead we have to put up with. Love these nitwits that have no real solution. It's the criminals, not the gun. Read my lips, there is no perfect gun control in a free country. Never was and never will be. Things slip through the cracks, and that, my friends, is the absolute definition of a free society. Having said that, maybe the real problem can be worked on, that is discovering the mentally ill and real treatment or lock them up. Harsh, isn't it.

I agree with this. We need to institute "sensible gun control" by removing the useless laws that only obstruct law abiding citizens from defending themselves, and while providing criminals with unarmed victims.

It's the word "sensible" which screwed him.

As I wrote this morning in a comment to a well known television commentator:

We praise the holocaust survivor who gave his life to buy his students a few moments to effect escape, yet we don’t stop to realize how the holocaust came about: by “reasonable” and incremental gun control that resulted in a civilian population that was totally unable to resist being sent to the ovens.

I doubt Jesus thought very much of the shooter who killed 33 people. If there is a way to prevent another mother in tears, I do not think Jesus would be angry at someone saving a life at the hands of a mad man.GOD IS STRICT BUT REMBEMBER HE IS NOT BLIND!

Is the Bible the Word of God?
Of course.
Ten out of ten Bibles agree: NASB: And He said to them, “But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. (NASB ©1995)

GWT: Then he said to them, “But now, the person who has a wallet and a traveling bag should take them along. The person who doesn’t have a sword should sell his coat and buy one. (GOD’S WORD®)

KJV: Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

ASV: And he said unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet; and he that hath none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.

BBE: And he said to them, But now, he who has a money-bag, or a bag for food, let him take it: and he who has not, let him give his coat for money and get a sword.

DBY: He said therefore to them, But now he that has a purse let him take it, in like manner also a scrip, and he that has none let him sell his garment and buy a sword;

WEY: “But now,” said He, “let the one who has a purse take it, and he who has a bag must do the same. And let him who has no sword sell his outer garment and buy one.

WBS: Then said he to them, But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his sack: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

WEB: Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.

YLT: Then said he to them, ‘But, now, he who is having a bag, let him take it up, and in like manner also a scrip; and he who is not having, let him sell his garment, and buy a sword,

Interesting that he mentions Darfur and Iraq in his gun control arguments. The weapon of choice in Darfur is the machete and in Iraq it’s IEDs.
