“a caller to the Mark Levin show stated that we can thank the ACLU in part for this tragedy for they prevent any investigation into a persons mental health history. if this nuts mental history could have been investigated it is possible that he would have been disqualified from purchasing a firearm.”
Are you serious!? One would think that mental stability would be paramount to gun purchase, but then are we entering uncertain waters? I mean, then they’ll move the scale down as to what constitutes as “mental instability”-—they could ultimately declare “conservatism” as mental instability.
But, you’re right, this is outrageous.
We have to be very wary of bad law coming from this. Bad law most likely contributed to the magnitude of this disaster and bad law will most likely be its offspring.
it has been many years since i purchased my last gun so i honestly can’t remember being asked on the gun purchasing application if their was a question about my mental health. but the thing that confuses me is that why ask the question if you can’t check into the truthfulness of the applicants answers.
