Friends recommended a brand from a small manufacturer called, Chcken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul. I know, strange name! They sell both dog and cat food. My sister switched her cat from Iams (which was on the recall list) to Chicken Soup, and it got the cat's seal of approval. It was cheaper than Iams too!
which is why Inova is now making EVO and Nature's Variety is making Raw Instinct and Natures Logic is making three different grain-free foods and Honest Kitchen is making two different grain-free foods...
The problem in this growing recall is grains, not the meats. The foods I mentioned use organic ingredients...
Check out onlynaturalpets.com to learn more about all these different foods. I feed raw, but if I was going to feed kibble, it's only the kibble's mentioned I would even consider. None of my three dogs have eaten any grains and they are fit and trim and muscular, no fat.
We feed our dog Canidae - the statement on their webpage is that there are no glutens in the food and they do not import ingredients from China. All I know is that she had problems with ear infections in the past, and the food change really helped.
Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul. I don’t buy that anymore. I think it was last fall when Diamond had a recall on that! I believe Diamond, the manufacturer is on the latest recall again.
Thanks for the link. I plan on getting some very soon, so it certainly helps.
