University policies denied the VT students their 2nd amendment rights. Had a few students and faculty been allowed to carry their firearms this would probably have ended very differently.

Policies that the university did it’s darnedest to enforce as well. Two years ago, a student with a concealed handgun permit was disciplined by the university administration for (lawfully) carrying on campus.
