MSNBC
Per Jack Thompson, atty for some in the Paducah, KY school shooting:
Video game, Counterstrike, may have been involved. Cho played it on the computer. Per Cho’s high school acquaintances.
[Perp in the German school shooting was also involved in the same computer game.]
Thompson is saying this (the shooting) was a ‘body count’ game. He also says that, for Cho to have pulled this off as he did, he had to have trained for it (via computer).
Just you. *any* news org would do the same.
Hi Hair. Sorry. I disagree and encourage reading them. There are posts regarding his mental status and why this wasn't picked up in a background check that we all have to suffer thru. I think there are some other really good comments there too. You have a right to your opinion but I think you should encourage folks to read and decide for themselves.
.
There is also a USPS timestamp on the envelope from when it was processed.
They can probably tell on the postmark what ~time~ it was postmarked, and they find the time interesting, because it appears it was mailed between the shootings. That in itself is interesting.
He used FedEx and thus has a time stamp.
I’m just surprised they (the FBI) said Yes and let them have a copy. Freedom of press, I guess. And perhaps because the shooter is dead so there is no need to retain integrity of evidence for future criminal case.
Could be. It may have been a twisted attempt to shelter his parents or his ID.
Seems he initially shot the two to death, wandered over to his dorm room, knowing the would eventually get him for the first murders, he apparently has plenty of time, he puts together a package of photos, videos and writings, drops it in the mail, loads up his weapons, extra clips and decides to go out in a bloody murderous blaze.
There is no doubt, this guy had planned something for a long time..
That may indicate and email...they don't get postmarked.
Maybe he wanted Imus’ time slot.
That NBC turned over the ‘originals’ and is showing ‘copies’ of the ‘manifesto’ seems like evidence tampering to me. As soon as they realized what they had, it was their duty to turn it over immediately, not make copies of everything first.
CNN is wrong..he was ordered to see a shrink who cleared him..no conviction in court, no record, no shows up on the background check..the headline misrepresents the story..
I would make a copy of anything I was going to turn over to the government. I learned a long time ago that you never give the original of anything, to anyone without a copy:’)
Yes, but Thompson’s a kook who blames every killing on video games.
Fine.... read the first 100 post where no one knows anything and most of what was said was wrong. Be my guest, I am not stopping anyone. Mine was just a suggestion. ;~)
yes. The guy did great damage. Rush is wrong on this one. Safeguards on so many levels broke down.
And if we dont learn from this, there WILL be more incidents.
For instance, I cant understand why a school like VT does not require ROTC to train and carry firearms. The profs could also take the same ROTC gun course.
ROTC kids could even get 1K of ‘marshall pay’ per semester. An added bonus would be that ROTC would get more respect on campus and the armed forces in general.
It would also get rid of the weenie argument of too many loose guns running round campus.
And that would have been leaked by now.
It seems he had a sick rage, and maybe against government, Bush, the war, America, and NBC will exploit that.
Or his rage was focused on his school, culture, ect.
It seems that they will stretch out the release, all week.
Let me get this right. The guy has time to:
1) Kill the girl he was stalking and an adviser who came to her aid in a crowded dormatory.
2) Mail a letter and video to NBC.
3) Reload his glock and stock up on ammo.
4) Shoot 60 more people two hours later.
Makes me wonder if he took time out for a Latte as well.
The "Duh" was for me, not you. Sorry again
