I can’t believe this is commentary is coming from a NE state’s newspaper. Maybe they are seeing the light. I don’t understand why veterans aren’t allowed to CCW at universities...they have the training and have learned responsibility through their service...Instead I saw at many universities I attended that veterans were lepers and treated with contempt. I had a couple of professors that were respectful and grateful for veterans but many were prejudiced toward those of us on the GI bill.

Its been thirty years since I attended the University of Tennessee's Chemistry Department but the hatefulness by the chemistry professors toward we veterans is remembered well.

The Union Leader has been the sole voice of sanity in New England for years.

Real conservative newspaper loathed by the libs.

Thank you!

I worked hard as my children grew up to instill both gun safety and marksmanship into their Chi - please excuse the bad analogy - World view, whatever you call an outlook on life

Daughter made all city rifle team, son was usually top (or near top) shooter in his Marine units.

After multiple tours in a combat zone, VET “students” should be encouraged to carry.

In RAHs novel, “Starship Troopers” ONLY combat vets were allowed to be police officers. Something about they knew what happens when you pull the trigger.

/rant - we now return you to the regularly scheduled thread.....

From a New England paper Yes but this is NH too, NH is where gun laws are very lax and we have an incredibly low crime rate. (0-50, 50 being worst) NH ranks at only #3...why we have been voted most livable state so many years now. Gun laws are not needed here and hopefully that will continue...funny thing, people don’t harass or pick on another when one might be armed...a wonderful deterent.
