Not "authentically black" because they are interested in personal excellence, not in making a career out of feeling sorry for themselves, blaming whitey and learning how to extract as much money from the Government as possible.

Yes, but it seems that a great many who are still on the Plantation are not looking to them as an example of what is possible.  They are referred to as 'sellouts' because they 'left the hood' and are 'acting all white'.  There's still a very, very long road ahead for black America because people such as Jackson and Sharpton still hold sway.

And after the current Civil Rights Mafia dies off, there are already those waiting in the wings to take their place.  Obama is a prime candidate to take Jackson's mantle. and Cynthia McKinney is hard on the heels of Waters.   As long as there is money and power to be made off of poverty and racial infighting, there will be someone there to exploit it.

Where there are Jamaican immigrants they work very hard, keep their families intact, and demand high standards for their kids.

To state the obvious--that the problems in the black community are cultural, not racial, is certain to get you labeled a racist.
