And a very real possibility, considering the porous nature of our Southern border.  Thank God for the Border Patrol and for the Minutemen.  The scenario you describe would be a current reality if it were not for their tireless efforts.

And if these guys manage to turn Hollywood and Beverly Hills into unlivable hells before the celebs can jump ship......hoo boy....

I'm guessing that Hollywood would become a passionate Republican stronghold in a very short time   :-)

Jamaicans have a reputation for being very hardworking, and comprise a high percentage of those attending college in the City College system of NYC. They are resented for this.

Not "authentically black" because they are interested in personal excellence, not in making a career out of feeling sorry for themselves, blaming whitey and learning how to extract as much money from the Government as possible.

Yes, but it seems that a great many who are still on the Plantation are not looking to them as an example of what is possible.  They are referred to as 'sellouts' because they 'left the hood' and are 'acting all white'.  There's still a very, very long road ahead for black America because people such as Jackson and Sharpton still hold sway.

Change comes slowly, but until the Sharptons and the Jacksons die off, they will be the "go-to" guys for the opinion seekers.

And after the current Civil Rights Mafia dies off, there are already those waiting in the wings to take their place.  Obama is a prime candidate to take Jackson's mantle. and Cynthia McKinney is hard on the heels of Waters.   As long as there is money and power to be made off of poverty and racial infighting, there will be someone there to exploit it.

Maybe if those men actually quit looking for the easy buck and got a real job they would be just a little better off. I don’t know a lot of black men but the few I do know are hard working people and own their own home and have decent families and go on nice vacations etc. I refuse to feel sorry for the sorry asses that insist on staying in their rut and getting fourth generation welfare. To be fair, I am a American Indian and I know plenty of Indians that fit this same MO. It’s easier to sell drugs that actually get a real job.

The problem, as I see it, is that you are using logic, demonstrable truths and clear, rational thinking to address a problem that is intentionally perpetuated because a whole lot of people are making a lot of money and power from maintaining poverty and interracial strife.  It doesn't suit the interests of Al Sharpton, Maxine Waters, the NAACP, the Urban League and so many others to actually solve the problems of minority poverty, the drug culture, etc, because these people represent a huge voting bloc.  If they were to actually be lifted up out of poverty, the Dems would NEVER win another election and the NAACP would fall apart.  Al Sharpton would have to start shopping at the mall for his suits like the rest of us and Jesse would have to give up at least one of his limo drivers.

Solutions for these problems have existed for decades, but implementing them tends to hurt the Dems and their constituents.  Bad for business.

FINALLY pinging this one out. Okay, anyone who thinks the "traditional" (aka "real") family doesn't matter, or is out dated, just take a look at this article and the thread. It's really quite simple. Destroy the family and voila! Children become feral and then grow up feral. And then THEY have feral children. How many lives destroyed?

Well we knew they'd be calling for more federal funding for something! The comment about parents, however, is a good thing. Now if they can only work on the much too high levels of unmarried women having babies, and encouraging young men to WORK instead of trying to all be gansgsta rappers or pro-athletes.

Of course that would all be wonderful, but I have not been given much reason to be optimistic, based upon past performance.  Such a route would solve most all problems among American blacks but it would involve personal responsibility and admitting that white people and 'racism' is not the entire cause of the troubles that blacks are facing.  There is way too much money and power involved in maintaining the status quo of endless interracial infighting and guilt-tripping with "more money" cited as being the only 'solution'.

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Maxine Waters don't want to have to start shopping at Wal-Mart with the rest of us....they prefer being on the receiving end of the race-baiting gravy train, unfortunately.

And in the meantime, millions upon millions of people will be prevented from having their full potentials realized.
