To be fair, the muslim didn’t invoke the name of Mohomed either.
And they did sing “Amazing Grace”.
And they did have the entire crowd recite the Lord’s Prayer.
And the Governor (Tim Kaine) is a Catholic and was a missionary, and gave biblical references (Job).
But it is true that nobody said the name of Jesus.
And it wasn’t really a memorial service.
Interesting that that hymn should be chosen. My Lutheran pastor does not like that hymn because any religion could adopt it. It is not obviously about Christ.
