After reading the article, I think Emily and Ryan (the RA) were neighbors and Ryan was called there to diffuse the situation.
Reports I have read said she had just been dropped off by her new boyfriend. Probably his car was seen leaving the area around the time of the murders made him a “person of interest”, and he was stopped by police.

Well, you can either *invent* details out of nothing — or — you can take the “news reports” and the eyewitness testimony.
Note that eyewitness testimony says on *two different occasions* that the RA — was (1) called to quell the argument, and then (2) the RA came out of his room and was shot.
So, either make up your own facts — or — take the eyewitness testimony...

If you feel it's necessary to make a public statement like this about two people who have just been murdered, shouldn't you support it with fact?
Shouldn't you also explain your reason for mentioning it at all?
