On the subject of co-ed dorms, I agree, a rational college would not allow them. However don’t underestimate the fact that many irrational boomer parents actually WANT their children to be sexually active, as it is a sign of their popularity. I see it all the time.

I’ve never heard anything so stupid in my life! If that is what boomer parents are like (not my children, who are “boomer” parents!) then we might as well give up the ghost right now! Co-ed dorms are a very bad idea! But I have yet to be convinced that this had anything to do with a love affair, or even a stalking.
