In fact they do, when they come onto the gays’ turf. I came upon a counter demonstration when he was picketing a church that catered to gays in the Lakeview(highly gay) area of Chicago. I didn’t know what it was, but there were probably over a thousand people yelling and cursing at someone/something I couldn’t see. I didn't know what was going on and left fast.

That was well over a decade ago, when I still read the Tribune. There was a microscopic story about page 8 of the second section that told me what had happened the day before. This was long before the war and any demonstrations at military funerals.
