From what I understand, when he left the first shooting scene, and wandered away, he strolled over to his dorm room area, reloaded, did whatever, and left a note behind.
I can't imagine why they would withhold information on the note, if there was only one shooter, and he's dead.

I just heard on Fox that the letter he left included a name....something like, “Islam X”...didn’t quite hear it and then it was over.
correction...just heard it again...ISMAIL X was the name.
