Consider this: the perp showed up to have her accompany him to the place he intended to slaughter so many but she refused and he killed her there to prevent her revealing things about him once the killing was done. This guy could be a terrorist who wanted his identity to remain in a fog until his handlers could evealuate the episode for future planning.

Trained by who? Do you have any “absolute” facts, or are you just airing your pet peeves? So far, nobody seems to know anything for certain.

“Some thoughts from the Blogosphere....”

Dodgers 4 D’Backs 1
Top of the 7th :-]

the VT murderer was just some wacko...
did us all a favor by committing suicide.
too bad they all don’t do that.

and VT blew it...they should have alerted the students & employees of the first shooting while alerting the police and securing the campus...

we’ll all see what a secure VT campus looks like...tomorrow.

now back to the game.

That really sounds like internet BS. What gun dealer would be dumb enough to put that on the web?

Shep Smith said the Feds are working on five possible scenarios. From what we do know, he probably had a student visa but has not been confirmed as a student which is a big RED FLAG. Terrorism uses diversions. It may have been the plan to occupy the forces on the initial shooting. It has been reported that police were sent to an elementary school. The person of interest may have someone who helped plant disinformation.

3. Why weren’t cops everywhere on campus after the first episode?

It is my understanding that the VT campus is huge and spread out.

Just a reminder to fellow FReepers, this friday is April 20th, Hitlers birthday, traditionally the deranged have used this date to perform acts of mayhem or terrorism.

The execution of 33 people with small caliber arms... a student visa... a nation with a population of muslims officialy at 20 million and unofficialy at up to 200 million. A nation bordering pakistan, india, ubekistan, kasikstan. A militant group of Uighurs. No ID, No face suicide. 3 bomb threat to test security. A state wide “state of emergency”. 50% kill rate.... on going police activity around state. Al Queda cells busted in the western provinces of China today.

He was a soldier. He killed many of the students in rooms as he walked down the hallways. He wore his ammo in the PLA way (on his chest). Also, notice as to how many of the students were treated by the police (threats by police to murder students, if they didn’t put their hands on their heads). Warfare is the work of soldiers—not police (who must be kept safe).

I would certainly take it with caution, but it could be real.

I remember when a Freeper posted in the forum back in the Whitewater days that the Secret Service had just paid him a visit.

“Well, I’m screwed” sounds like a natural reaction to getting a call from the ATF that you were the guy who sold the gun to the killer. And the bit about the Green Card and a second piece of ID also seems to make legal sense.

Not saying that any of that is proof, but if it was made up it was well done.

"I have always said that squads of gunmen dispersed across the country to commit “random” shootings would be a diabolically effective means of terrrorizing our open society—no nukes, bombs, or military training required. Remember the hysteria caused by the DC Sniper? You couldn’t pump gas from Boston to Richmond without bobbing your head. Imagine that times 20."

Me, too!

In fact, it makes me wonder just how bad this "war on terror" is. If Al Queda and their cohorts can't find five people to enter five different elementary schools and kill 30 kids, how serious is the threat. Seriously? Imagine the panic if multiple schools across the nation were attacked on the same day? Or are they so stupid they don't even realize how simple and effective that would be to "terrorize" the public?

My friend and I have been discussing that and similar kinds of scenarios—some involving elementary schools—ever since Beslan.

I really believe it is only a matter of time and it terrifies me.

Thanks. Yes, see #32. We don’t KNOW if this is real, but it certainly could be.

I am irritated at the near-universal press depiction of the VaTech killings as a tragedy.

Was the murder of millions at Dachau a tragedy?
Was the beheading of Americans by the Jihadi tragic?

Murder, mass or otherwise, is an outrage, a shock, and cause for angry alarm.

Romeo and Juliette was tragic. 9/11 was not tragic for the first few weeks, then our fear of outrage kicked in, MSM stopped showing pictures of people jumping from the towers, and the attack became a tragedy.

VaTech skipped right over ‘flying the flag’ to ‘yellow ribbon’ within minutes.

“PAPER: Witnesses described the shooter as a young man of Asian descent — a silent killer who was calm and showed no expression as he pursued and shot his victims. He killed himself as police closed in... “

silent.. sounds like a rookie to me... </sarcasm>

You said — “That means that the ATF know who the gun owner is. But apparently they are sitting on this information.”

Well, now that’s an interesting development — if it’s true. It’s hard to imagine a poster being that gun dealer, though. I don’t know; maybe so...

But, if they have the information on his identity, I can see why they would want to hold off saying who he was. They would want to run down leads and connections, first, talk to people, investigate other things about him, before it all became public.

Regards,
Star Traveler

Didn’t Chuck Norris make a movie like that?
