Well....I would guess that as much money that the schools get, security could be placed at all the dorms entrances. I had to have a security card to enter the buildings I worked at. If you look at the walkways around that campus, and considering the weather, covered walkways with Lexon (bullet proof plastic) could be placed on the sides.....would look like glass. At least the students would have some protection if needed. There’s all kinds of things that could be done. It would cost but student safety is key. I also believe that all high schools should be fenced and secured also. Kids today come and go like flys.....not like 50 years ago.

What exactly is "security", I'd like to buy a couple pounds to have in the house. Do you mean "an unarmed security guard" since evil guns are not allowed on campus? I'm sure that would have been effective against this guy who's armed like the bad guys in a Bruce Willis movie.

You've got to be kidding right? Polycarbonate covered walkways on campuses? You were emplooyed as an armed guard for foreign dignitaries? That's a joke! The most likely occurence would be sexual assault, which generally requires an armed response to prevent. Teens with CCW? You're not very knowlegable. folks need to be 21 to possess a handgun, or get a permit for CCW.

What you describe is either a prison or a police state. Neither of which would stop the madman. He could force someone at gunpoint (remember, NO ONE in the area is carrying a gun), to open the dorm or building. Lexan covered walkways won't make a difference since he could just enter them. No not everyone would or even should carry a gun. But It makes no sense to "restrict the availability" of guns. In my other post, as I said, in the hood, the criminals don't give a damn about the law.

P.S. I went to school in an "inner-city" high school that was fenced and "secured" including security cameras and riot gates. It sucked. And kids still managed to sneek on and off campus. A police state will not make you safer, and will in fact fall at some point to revolution.
