My point is, if we can compare the statistics of guns smuggled into this country and used in crimes or otherwise and then compare the statistics of guns legally purchased and subsequently used in crimes or otherwise, we can once and for all say that even if guns are banned, most of the gun crimes or deaths would occur anyway since gun smuggling is the main cause that lead to gun deaths
I want some of what you’re smokin’ !!!
Huh?
Most firearms used in the U.S. are made in the U.S.
Also, "gun death" is a useless term. Is that when your gun is so rusty it doesn't work any more? How about "homicide by a criminal armed with a handgun" or something equally descriptive?
AND if you are handy enough you can make your own gun from scratch as in zip guns made from car antennas in the 50’s or a shotgun made from a steering wheel “club” as seen on CSI!
Since it is obvious on the face of it that it is impossible that more guns could be smuggled in than are manufactured here, given the number of and the size of our various manufacturers who either manufacture them here or have them manufactured under their name in some other country, the statistics would “prove” to the Brady bunch that guns manufactured here are involved in the most crime.
Which proves nothing.
If we can demonstrate that more people die from imported drugs, should we ban imported drugs in the belief that will lower the death rate?
We have. And to what effect? None. They are still imported, still made in the US and people still die from it. It matters not where the gun comes from. What matters is where the person comes from, both figuratively and literally.
Aren’t most autos used in drive by shootings and bank robberies legally purchased and then stolen?
It's not everyday that one gets to read words of wisdom! "sac off"
But on second thought how many guns do you think are smuggled into the country??
If you are legit, you have a lot to learn about how gun grabbers work and what their true mission is.
eleni121, is that you???
