former congressman Pete McCloskey has left the GOP
This is going to shift the non-congressional voting balance of the nation towards the Democrats by one.
No wonder its news.

Question: If a RINO breaks out of his pen, do you even bother trying to get him back in?
To: calcowgirl
Perhaps Pete can get lessons in ethics from his new Rat buds, Bill and Shrillary.

McCloskey says he is disgusted with the "succession of ethical scandals, congressmen taking bribes and abuse of power by both the Republican House leadership and the highest appointees of the White House."
After all, everyone knows Democrats would NEVER engage in this type of behavior.

This schmuck must be confused. IMO, the description of his reasons for his leaving are, in fact, a description of the Liberal anti-American, anti-military cowards that he’s now joining. What a disgrace that he was ever a Marine.

McCloskey says he is disgusted with the "succession of ethical scandals, congressmen taking bribes and abuse of power by both the Republican House leadership and the highest appointees of the White House." LOL, what an idiot. I suppose becoming a Democrat gives him a licence to lie. The guy has been a lifelong anti-war nut and he wants to tell us the line of crap about him leaving because of a bunch of non-scandals. What an idiot. Leave and don't come back.

"A pox on (Republicans) and their values," he wrote. Did he just "pox" us?!?
OH YEAH, well Mr. McCloskey, your mother was a hampster and your father smelt of elderberries. So there.

So, Pete’s now officially a defeatist and a pessimist?
This is a larger tragedy for Pete than it is the nation or the Republican Party.
He has now joined ranks with folks who loathe their country and would not fight for it under any circumstances.
Good luck, Pete. You’re going to need a passel of it.
