If these kids were killed in class, I cannot see sending my sheep...er...children to a university which would not allow students to walk around with the means to self defense.

This is not "tragic", this is preventable. I've noticed in the newsreporting for these potential SJS ("SJS= Sudden Jihad Syndrome) incidents, there's always some plausible motivation thrown out there -- mad over girlfriend, lost a job, but then you find out the shooter is given an Islamic burial in Bosnia or something.

I guess we still want to keep our eyes tightly closed and tell the boogeyman to go away.

Doesn't anyone in the DC area remember the 2 "angry white men in a white van-that-turned-out-to-be-a-muslim-convert" sniper duo that made it a terror to get gas or go to home depot for fear of being sniped? I can't remember a time feeling so powerless and ridiculous. We'd better go get Chief Moose on the case, right away. Otherwise, we'll have no red herrings to fry up in the media.

Just because my children are not in the public school system, doesn't mean I want to see others' children live or die through a Beslan.

Will we ever learn?

My point is, if you are 21 you have a right to drink alcahol, but you cannot go to class with alchahol, you cannot go into sports games with alcahol. I have no problem with someone having the right to carry, but in college class rooms isn’t the place.
