I don’t what to question how these kids acted ... I have never been in a situation, obviously, like that and pray I nor any of my family ever will. One thought does stick in my mind ... at Texas A&M, we also have a very active Corps of Cadets on campus, and every engineering class I ever was in had it’s share of Corps members in it. I would assume that Virginia Tech would as well. I just wonder if any of there guys were around in all of this ... maybe they weren’t or maybe they were powerless to do anything ... its just something running through my mind. That’s probably very unfair ... but the thought is there.

I don't really think that a specific finger can be pointed anywhere. I guess that I was just lamenting the fact that:

a)in the name of "safety", the campus put people in a position where no one could do anything.

b)People that potentially were in a position to act, didn't (or couldn't because of a) )

I lay this solely at the feet of those that condition people to believe that guns are evil and that since *they* could never responsibly carry a gun, than no one can.
