Not really. The anti-gunners will do their best, but I think logic and common sense will prevail.
We have the RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. If some entity tries to remove that right, there will be hell to pay.

I sure hope you're right about this, but these events really invite bad law. We don't have a majority to put the brakes on until cooler heads can prevail, and you can bet those newly elected pro-gun Democrats will be conspicuously absent from any efforts to resist knee-jerk legislation.
There needs to be more sheepdogs everywhere, even at schools. The kind of sheepdogs I am talking about are people, who are train and authorized to carry a weapon, to protect the sheep from the wolves.
