i believe i said he shouldn’t be allowed to. i just am not willing to go gung ho on any law that is fresh after an emotional incident. it always creates problems for basic fundamental rights. for instance, because everything was legal (if it was legal anyway), tacked onto a bill changing a law allowing a foreign national to buy a gun will probably be more restrictions on LEGAL gun owners. instead of the illegal gun owners that pose a more serious threat.

does anyone recall what happend after colmubine? it’s been so long i cannot remember off hand, but i do remember a lot of gun control advocacy after the incident and am pretty sure a lot of state laws were changed restricting guns further. am i wrong?

One thing that did happen was a fairly hard anti-gun push in D.C., complete with much dancing-in-the-blood by Democrats. Fortunately at that time, the Republican majority in the House was having none of it.
