I never thought the campus should be shut down or locked down. I know about colleges...large and small. 2 sons through college...youngest at UNT. I worked dispatch for LE. I know how it works. I’m not down on LE at all in this situation.
I am confused about the number of shooters. If the chief can’t tell that info., then don’t put it out there without a description.

I agree. "Lock Down" is a control concept that naive bureaucrats who administer educational systems have borrowed from prison management. IMO, there should have been a "CALL to ARMS" which after which 5,000 armed citizens would have cornered this vermin and put hundreds of rounds of ammunition into his body, thus ending the assault (as well as his use of much needed oxygen).
