Yeah, I thought of that after I posted. She could have been his girlfriend in his mind only (crazy stalker) or the girlfriend angle is a totally bogus rumor.

Police chief said the girlfriend angle was just an angle they were persuing. They do NOT have a name for the shooter, he had no ID on him.
