Let’s break your statement down:
1.) Im not an advocate of gun-control
2.) I dont think the solution to this problem is to allow students to take guns into classrooms.
You do understand that those are mutually exclusive thoughts, right?
There are different extents to it. I think students shouldn’t be allowed to carry guns on campus. Does this put me in the same group as people who think no U.S. citizen should be allowed to carry a gun? Give me a break.
“I think students shouldnt be allowed to carry guns on campus”
Yeah, that worked out real well today.
Of course there are different extents. That much is obvious to anyone, but it has no bearing on your original comments.

There are at least 32 families for which the fact that people like yourselves want only "limited" gun control will be little consolation this evening. For the students on that campus, the law might as well state that no US citizen can carry a gun.
Are college and graduate students and, for that matter, faculty less responsible than members of the general public who qualify for CCW? If they were to enlist in one of the “armed” services, would you apply the same criteria to restrict the arms they’re allowed to use?
You don't deserve a break, or respect, since you clearly deny the rights of peple to effectively defend themselves. That includes women you'd advocate leaving defenseless at the hands of sex criminals and those htat were killed today at the hands of a heinous killer.
