April 16, 2007 -- Republican White House hopeful Rudy Giuliani will speak tomorrow at the university founded by televangelist Pat Robertson, a major appearance for the former mayor before a conservative crowd.

Several hundred people have registered to size up Giuliani, who holds liberal social views but is casting himself as the campaign's true "fiscal conservative."

He will be introduced at Regent University by Robertson - who in 2005 said Giuliani would make "a good president."

Well only time will tell. I can’t say he will but I know that Fred will knock Romney and McCain out in one sweep. At the end I think it will be Rudy vs. Fred in a very tight race. But then that’s just my opinion.

Actually I extended it and wrote the words out instead of abbreviating.

Pat Robertson has a university?

Laughable.

Republican '08 options disappoint evangelicals (Land: would vote for Hillary over Rudy)***...Richard Land, president of the Religious and Ethics Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, takes a hard line against virtually all the major Republican candidates. He says he'd vote for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, New York Democrat, over Mr. Giuliani if the 2008 presidential race came down to such a choice. And if Mr. Giuliani wins, "he'll do so without social conservatives," Mr. Land said. .....***

There ought to be a rule that if the state from which you spring has not voted for the GOP in three of the past five presidential elections, you cannot run for the presidency. Otherwise, you have these chameleons trying to change their positions to get the nomination, lying through their teeth.

Mindless ridicule is a sure sign of intellectual vacuum.

Laughable.

What is more laughable is that in 2007, a presidential candidate has to go and kiss the ring of a crazy old fraud like Pat Robertson.

Well, it IS hard to resist making jokes on this particular topic.

When the humor is forced and angry like many of the ‘comedians’ that tell Bush jokes, it’s not funny, but when it’s good natured, it’s funny to me even when I am a fan of the target.

I’m not thrilled about that either. I’m tired of these stupid so-called leaders acting like they are god. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton do the same thing to the Democrats. Republicans have these guys to contend with.

Oh I don’t mind the jokes. I even laugh at them if they are funny even though they are not coming from Rudy people.

Land and Robertson and Falwell are the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the Republican Party. They should all stay out of politics.

Yes I would say they are on about the same level as Jackson and Sharpton. Annoying twits! LOL!

So Land is a socialist! LOL! Very nice! I just might send him Hillary’s campaign website so he can make a nice fat donation!
