Statesmen don’t engage in counterproductive finger pointing, they look to the future and work to fix the problems.

It isn't 'finger pointing' to hold the parties responsible for the greatest lapse in security and the deadliest terror attacks in U.S. history ACCOUNTABLE!!!

Any damn fool can spout off that whole 'bipartisan, work together, fix the problem' BS, but when the problems have been caused by the same mealy-mouthed weasels who are pleading for 'bipartisanship', there will NOT be any solution until the perpetrators responsible are held accountable for their actions (or inactions).

Rudy did what he was supposed to do as mayor of a city after 1993 - Rudy didn’t control the US military, or the CIA, or the FBI. He formed the city’s office of emergency management to enhance preparedness for such attacks - although nothing could really prepare for the magnitude of 9-11, unless you want to fault Rudy for not equipping NYPD with surface to air missiles.

If JulieAnnie said, "that Clinton did all that he could do with the info at the time" (paraphrasing)--why in the world would anyone think that JulieAnnie would have done ANYTHING DIFFERENT?????

To say that we NEED JulieAnnie (as opposed to any of the other Republicans) to fight the WOT is ridiculous,,,,,absolutely ridiculous.

Go, Fred, Go!! (FredHead here)

the point is not whether either/or is being “ranked” against each other on terror issues - both would be just fine, and surely alot better then any Dem.

the point is, that Rudy’s image resonates with far more americans, especially independents, on the terror issue because of 9-11 and NYC.

Jamie Gorelick. Sandy Berger. Bill Clinton. Inexcusable. Indefensible.

And a dishonorable mention to John F'in Traitor, who gave short shrift to FAA security specialists who tried vainly to inform him of security breaches at Logan International in Boston in the Spring of 2001, but were told that 'Senator Kerry could not help them since they were not actually constituents'.

If Kerry had listened and recognized the lack of security at Logan, the 9/11 attacks launched from Boston might have been prevented.

The Clinton Misadministration gave al Qaeda eight years to validate their belief that America was too weak to fight, eight years to ramp up their plans for launching this global jihad, and after those eight years were up, we all know the result.

THAT is the legacy of Bill Clinton and his motley crew of thieves, liars and traitors.

Now he's a statesman? What happened to the tough as nails street fighter who was going to tell the media where to stick it and not take crap from anybody?

I’m beginning to think we’ll need to replace Kerry in the old Eggo Waffle pictures soon...

While we're at it, we should also replace Al Gore's picture with the caption 'Stupidity' with RG's.

An absolute moron.

In other words, you think voters will choose style over substance?

its a combination of both, its a normal part of politics.

would Thompson even be in this race, if he weren’t an actor on TV and in the movies?

“How come we always hear Republican’s defending or saying nice things about Democrat’s but - never the other way around?”

Liars in both parties!

The question is this.

Q: What would JulieAnnie have done different than Bill Clinton in the WOT?

A: According to JulieAnnie--"NOTHING"!!!

If you think the Republican Party is just NOT LIBERAL ENOUGH, and needs to move further to the LEFT,,,,

JulieAnnie is JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB!!!

Thompson might, or might not - but his political resume' goes all the way back to '74 and the Watergate Committee, while Rudy was a year away from being hired by the Ford Justice Department.

I'm not normally a cynical person, but this is the Clintons after all.

That Bush or Giuliani or anyone else doesn't go after Slick and his administration tells me that either

a) Billy did all that could be expected of a sitting president or

b) there was something, or even a lot of things in all of those FBI files that the Republican leadership doesn't want the world to know.

Cynical me, I'm going with the second choice. And since this is all about the choice for who the next president is likely to be, my choice is not going to be Rudy unless there is absolutely no other option than him or Hillary. God help us all.

(Please, Mr. Thompson, be the conservative candidate I hope you to be and tell the world you are a candidate for President in 2008!)

would Thompson even be in this race, if he weren’t an actor on TV and in the movies?

Would Rudy if he hadn't happened to have been mayor on NYC on 9/11?

Would Reagan have been governor of California and president if not for his movie career?

Everyone has something that thrusts them into the limelight and the truth is that Thompson was very involved in politics long before his acting career.
