It’s not. It’s just an excuse race baiters like Sharpton use to make an issue where one doesn’t exist. I’m just glad they didn’t ask Imus a question he could have answered with... “Oh boy....”

The right-wing US broadcasters who fill the air with invective operate way beyond the conventions of good taste. But now one of them, Don Imus, has gone too far - and paid for his loose lips with his job

Writer Buncombe proves he is full of Bunc in his very first paragraph. Thanx for demonstrating your IGNORANCE from the get-go, Mr. Bunc.

Not particularly fitting to today’s standard definition, Imus was one of the original shock jocks from the ‘70s.

A typical multi-level smear from the word "Go!"

Does the term "right wing cold warrior" mean anything to this guy?? That was the term for people like Ronald Reagan - until Reagan won the Cold War. After that, leftists had to cover their tracks and protest against Republicans taking the credit they deserved for winning the Cold War. So the term, "right wing cold warrior" - and even the term "right wing" - has been far less in vogue among leftists since then. After all, although leftism is still in vogue under the guise of environmentalism, open leftism is not nearly as easy to espouse after the self-destruction of the Soviet Union.

The case that Don Imus is or was a Republican, let alone a "right winger" cannot IMHO be made; I think his primary audience is RINOs and Democrats. Republicans are in the pocket of Christians, who are repelled by the broadcasting of irreverent humor.

Andrew Buncombe, I pity just how utterly stupid you are.

Not even zero credibility. Is it possible to be that ignorant?

Imus a right-winger?

Is it ignorance of who Imus really was? or just part of another Stalinist big lie.

Imus was carried locally during part of the Clinton years. I remember him reprimanding his staff to stop bashing Bill Clinton.

I still remember regular guest Tim Russert excitement that a White House insider told him that the Clinton's were going to name their new dog after his son.

Ignorance or another big lie by the left? Imus of course was a favorite haunt of America's who's who of the liberals and RINOs.

at least brought his career to a shuddering halt. <<

Only till Sirius or XM radio picks him up!
being a bit of a capitalist I expect the stock of both to start edging up and a 10% spike on the day of the announcement... http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ta?s=siri+xmsr&t=3m&l=on&z=m&q=c&p=m20%2Cv&a=m26-12-9%2Cfs%2Css%2Cp12&c=

Howard Stern... Sirius Radio... While it may get you fired, bigotry can still pay big.

Howard Stern is a bigot? Who knew?

I don’t know enough about Don Imus to know if he was to the right or to the left. I never heard him on radio and on’t know anyone who did.

Opie & Anthony: This pair were responsible for what has been described as the "most vulgar stunt ever broadcast" when they played a live audio broadcast of a couple having sex in the vestibule of St Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan.

???!!! Was this on satellite radio or regular radio? Did the FCC move in?
