Many want to publicly fund abortions.
“How many cowards go after the Mafia despite credible threats to their lives?”
How many people strive to deny the means of self defense he expects us to pay for for HIM?
Again, maybe in NYC. Not in the rest of the country.
“Again, maybe in NYC. Not in the rest of the country.”
No, not locally in NY, but nationally on NBC and CBS and ABC. Anyone over forty knows he was a national celebrity long before he became mayor. You might want to read some books about this—there’s one on his fight against Wall Street corruption by David Maraniss—the name of it escapes me. Then as mayor he became even more famous. And after 9/11 more famous still—he became an internationally-known figure. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 2002.
I had never heard of him until I saw him on an SNL skit in the early 90s. Sorry. Must be a northeast thing.
No, it’s not a Northeastern thing. He was famous before he became mayor. He was third in the Dept. of Justice and was an outstanding US Attorney. His arrests of Mafia bosses and Wall Street insider traders like Ivan Boesky made front page news.
Who knows or remembers a DOJ attorney? Wasn’t Guiliani demoted after-wards?
Yes, it was a northeastern thing. Just like it is now, with his deplorable record regarding the Constitution.
“Who knows or remembers a DOJ attorney? Wasnt Guiliani demoted after-wards?”
No, he was never demoted. And if you can’t remember the arrest of Wall Street insider trader Ivan Boesky and then the junk bond king Michael Milken, you’re one of the few who can’t. These arrests received wide coverage in the national media.
Oh, I remember those. I just don’t remember Guiliani’s name being all that prominent.
