Sharpton says multiple times, “you didn’t aks that”. In my opinion, Sharpton is a gopher for Hillary. Imus, as we know, has been saying obnoxious things forever, suddenly he’s gone?? Why? Because he said yet another? I think not. He is gone because Hillary ordered it so. Imus hated Her Thighness and he bad mouthed her regularly. The waited for something they could use knowing Imus would eventually supply. I don't listen to Imus so I wasn't aware of Imus being anti Clinton.
But given what you say, that Imus did bad mouth Hillary regularly, yes this does appear to be a Clinton hit.
