Don Imus is the one to blame for making Sharpton the moral arbiter by going on his radio show and groveling before him.

Reminds me of the Trent Lott thing.

Imus was rude for calling a bunch of college girls whores. But IMV...he only owed those RU college girls an apology, not the hypocrite Sharpton.

Like Lott, Imus is past peak, now.

Problem is Imus called everyone everything in the book it's what half his show was about. He was sort of a shock jock with very little shock left.

His comments were of the cuff(never to be taken seriously) and not a direct insinuation just like most of his comments were.

This smells more like a political hit to me. And after hearing and reading everything I have on it and seeing the Begala interview with Imus and seeing him stand up to Begala and ditch Hillary one more time, I am thinking political hit more than ever.

Agreed. But Imus was just using what has become mainstream vernacular. In this context, hos don’t necessarily mean whores. Regardless, he apologized profusely and publicily. The Rutgers basketball team accepted his apology after he was fired twice.
