The difference is, pelosi took her trip without the President’s permission, in fact, against his wishes. There was no question that pelosi is guilty of a violation of the Logan Act.
This time, Bush did send richardson as an official envoy of the United States. (Richardson has gone to North Korea a few times recently on his own, definitely in violation of the Logan Act, but this time he went legally.)
None of the times he went did anything good for America come out of the trip, but this time, you can say ‘Bush’s fault’ for any negativity.
He's refining his foreign policy non-expertise as a prelude to Hillary choosing HIM as her running mate.
GWB is helping him along....no surprise here.
