Well, I think you can summarize Newsweek's take on Romney by the frowning baby that they chose to picture him with in the above link. Funny, that's exactly how I'd portray Newsweek. ;)

But the article does go on to reveal more about his management style, albeit mixed with the usual Newsweek blatherings (and obligatory jab at both Bush and Cheney). Can't say I've heard them quoting the father of any other presidential candidate, though they have dug into Rudy's family a bit.

A bit? AP sent reporters to Mexico to dig up info on Romney’s great, great, great, great grandfather’s polygamy. One hundred and ten year old dirt. Digging? I’d call that political archeology.

There’s no question where Newsweak stands: 1 million percent for Hillary.

You know, I haven’t read Newsweak except in my Doctor’s waiting room in years. And even then, it’s shocking how much like PEOPLE it’s become.

for every Michael Bloomberg, the media mogul turned über-competent mayor of New York, there has been at least one Dick Cheney, who seems to think that the iron-fist approach mastered at a big corporation like Halliburton can be just as effective in the vice president's office. ...

That statement is an affront to every businessman who actually has had to earn their money rather than inherit it or confiscate it from taxpayers.

Exactly what has Bloomberg done for New York other than to keep it from sliding back to the s***hole status it was before Guilanai was mayor?

Exactly what has Cheney done to deserve a cheap shot such as this.

The more the enemedia pile on Romney, the better he looks to me.

I predict in the next few months, this will be seen as a “friendly” account. If Mitt gains any traction expect the media to get hysterical. This stuff is just pretty mild.

I am certainly no Romney fan, but give me a break:

“for every Michael Bloomberg, the media mogul turned über-competent mayor of New York, there has been at least one Dick Cheney, who seems to think that the iron-fist approach mastered at a big corporation like Halliburton can be just as effective in the vice president’s office. ...”

Bloomberg competent while Cheney ineffective? Who got Newsweaks panties in a bunch?
