I did not mean to imply that I agreed with how Rep. Brown worded his statement. I was really commenting on the response of his colleagues. I know that the “rank and file” legal immigrants who have gone through the arduous process of becoming a US citizen feel as you do. It’s just that politicians can not resist pandering to one group or another and speaking out of both sides of their mouths.
