Sounds like Terry Moran wasn't smart enough to get into Duke or any of the other "elite" schools. He therefore assumes that anybody who goes to such a school has it made and never has to work very hard or worry about much of anything as a consequence. What a doofus!

Most of the kids that go to top flight schools work their butts off to get in and then keep up the hard work in order to do well once they are there. You can get a good education at a school like Duke, but you don't get a ticket for a free ride through life.

Sure, these three guys weren't saints. Which of us was in our college days. But they didn't deserve what happened to them, including having some ignoramus like this moralizing over their vindication.

Can you imagine the thread if we did one of all our college-day escapades? My goodness. I'd need a whole page myself.

Sounds like Terry Moran wasn't smart enough to get into Duke or any of the other "elite" schools.

Moran graduated in 1982 from Lawrence University in Appleton WI.

According to Wikipedia: "In 2007, Lawrence was ranked #53 by U.S. News & World Report, tied with Reed College in Portland, Oregon. The College is less selective than most institutions of its kind, admitting over 55% of its applicants. Thus, it is included in Loren Pope's, Colleges that Change Lives, a book highlighting schools that are comparable to the most selective colleges in the country in quality, but far less selective. Whitman College, Reed College, Beloit College, St. John's College and Clark University are some of the others included."
