Rep. Linda Sanchez Quits Hispanic Caucus

A second congresswoman said Thursday she is quitting the Congressional Hispanic Caucus over opposition to its male leadership.

The announcement came from Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., whose sister, Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Calif., quit the caucus in January and accused the group's leader of calling her a "whore."

The chairman, Rep. Joe Baca, also a Democrat from Southern California, has denied saying that. But other women also have complained about his leadership. When Baca was elected chairman in November, he was supported by only one of the six women in the caucus.

Since January, the 21-member, all-Democratic group has been meeting to try to resolve the dispute but has not announced any changes. Baca survived a confidence vote in March.

Linda Sanchez said in a statement she was suspending her membership in the caucus "because I believe that the current leadership has not made needed structural reforms to ensure that the caucus is more equitable and inclusive of all its members."

It is absolutely wrong to call Sanchez a "whore." There is no evidence of her trading in sexual favors. OTOH, there is a lot of evidence that she stole the election that put her in Congress. No one took it seriously at the time because Blowhard B-2 Bob Dornan had become a very boring and tiresome Republican hack. Not only did Loretta's team register and vote felons, dead Mexicans, and multiple illegal aliens, she added to the Democrat Fraud Repetoire by using computer-generated, completely imaginary (might be kinder to say "virtual,") live and dead Mexican families

Baca and the other members of the Hispanic Caucus should have called the California Democrat a "Thief." If evidence arises later on, Baca and the other Democrat caucus muchachos can always amend their remarks and call her a "Thieving Whore."

I know a few people back in DC and there have been occasional rumors of Loretta Sanchez sleeping around.

Nothing substantiated. Nothing definite. Just rumors passed around that she has been with a number of men - one of them a prominent member of Congress from my homestate.
