Although leaving the scene of the accident is almost always inexcusible, don't discount the possibility that the accident could have been caused by the State Trooper, who was behind the wheel of Corzine's car. In my observations after many years of driving, State Troopers (and other LEO) act as if speed limits, the use of directionals, prohibitions against tailgating and cell phones, and other rules of the road are for the little people.
We’ve had two “death by cop “ driving accidents in South Jersey in the last six months . One state trooper ran a stop sign at night , no lights, sirens, etc. and killed two girls. The other local cop blew through an intersection at 90 mph and killed an 80 year old man whose son was a cop in the same town .
