I decided he was an idiot and changed morning drivetime channels.

So did a lot of other people. His ratings have been declining steadily. This probably played a role in his termination.

So did the number of radio stations that carried him. I remember back when MSNBC first came to air in 1996, they put Imus In The Morning on their lineup a month or so later, and in a short amount of time, Imus had close to 200 radio stations.
