It was just announced on the "Mike and the Mad Dog Show" on WFAN (Imus's home base): Imus is out of a job on radio as well.
He will not even be on the air tomorrow.
As long as the excremental hateful leftist like Rosie, Maher, and the barfamatic Keith Olberman are allowed on the air the double-standards are sickening. Oh, and when will Al Sharpton ever be required to do a full “self-criticism” ala the Cultural Revolution for all of his depraved statements and behavior through the years? I never cared for Imus and never listened to him more than a total of about 10 minutes in my life, but to single him out and leave ranting haters like Sharpton, Rosie, Maher, and Olberdork alone is simply absurd.
Imus is a McCain Republican.
Imus had the no. 9 rated talk show. Pretty minor already.
Imus must be conservative, or this wouldn’t be happening to him.

Perhaps Hilary clinton should be forced to resign from the race in order to allow the black candidate to win the DNC nomination...
totally agree with you.
he said this on the air about a year ago....as a uconn alum i was pissed....but really didn’t care because i realize that imus is a jerk
anyway i’m glad he is gone....even if for the wrong reason.
but no crime has been committed unless the FCC goes after him....then we should really get upset.
Regarding Media Matters and David Brock. I know Brock, and despise him. It was while he was writing a book about Hillary, The Seduction of Hillary Rodham Clinton, that his homosexual orientation left him vulnerable to the sophisticated White House manipulation apparatus, and soon he was being seduced by the gay staff so much in abundance in the Clinton White House. It was no small thing that the US military feared homosexuals were prime candidates for compromise by our nation's enemies, but little did they know those enemies would actually occupy the White House. Brock and Arianna Huffington saw their opportunities; Her's after her rich gay husband failed to be elected to the US Senate from California, and his when he realized he had extracted all he could get from his Berkley background in the conservative mainstream. "His book, "The real Anita Hill" makes Don Imus seem like a saint.
They really need to toss that Ramone & Frunkis show off the air. They bring nothing to the table. That’s terrible....I’m sorry.
Or maybe they can replace the bowl of gravy on R&F with Imus.
Juan was actually very good on The Panel tonight bringing up Al and Jesse’s past “moral” behavior.
Not speaking from any personal knowledge, but I’ve heard that in many European countries the hand gesture of “OK” that Sharpton is showing there is what is used by cruising gays as a come-on..... maybe “Big Al” has something more going on for him than simply his rancid ranting racism........
I hope Rush puts today’s entire second hour audio on the free site. I only have headphones on right now but the thunder from his voice is making my table shake !
He recently signed a 5 year, $10 million per year, extension.
Your radio only gets one station?
I was wondering EXACTLY about that.
You saved me time from finding the transcript. Thank you.
Isn't it kind of funny how so many folks came out and said, "We support Imus saying whatever he wants to on his program... but oh, by the way, we want him fired too."
I thought so... sometimes he actually makes sense. Remember he angered the likes of Jackson/Sharpton in his book last year. He is more along the lines of Bill Cosby in holding up a mirror to the black community.
What did he have to say?
You know it. I know it. But I think a lot of people won’t believe it until they see it. By then it will be too late.
I found Don Imus’s remarks repugnant, and yet when black Isaiah Washington made an anti-gay comment, the black community slapped his hand and then stood behind him. If people don’t want to watch/listen to it, they can switch channels, post on blogs, etc.—just like they can with Rosie Donnell and Isaiah Washington. Railroading on political grounds amounts to limiting free speech.
