That was a wuss apology. This man has destroyed these three boys lives along with many others on the college campus. He knew these three boys were not rapists. He knew the “victim” was not raped. There is no acceptable excuse for his malfeasance in office. He should be disbarred and fined a healthy sum.
This guy deserves some sort of criminal prosecution.

That would mean putting on trial not the lacrosse players, but the district attorney who led the early prosecution of the case, said Ragland.
“I was shocked by how Mr. Nifong did the whole thing. It was a cover-up. He had evidence that these boys did not rape her,” and improperly kept it secret, said Ragland. “

The only rape that occurred was the rape of the good names of the accused. Nifong should go to prison for at least as long as the potential sentences the Duke three were facing. I would prefer much much longer than that.
