MOSCOW - "It is possible to damage Iran's military and industrial potential, but it is impossible to win," Russian news agencies quoted General Yuri Baluyevsky, head of the Russian general staff, as saying. "The United States has a contingent in the region capable of launching a strike on Iranian territory. "However, such possible strikes would be a huge political mistake. Shockwaves from this attack could be felt around the world...

Russia seems to be doing some heavy-duty cheerleading for us to go after Iran.

“Shockwaves from this attack could be felt around the world”

Then that would mean they used enough bombs.

If Comrade Yuri is correct, he should be for a US strike that leads to a US demise and catapaults Russia back into superpower status.

We don’t need to win in the classic sense. We just need to put the country on foot without gasoline. It will self-destruct after a few weeks.

Still smarting from getting their a**es kicked in Afghanistan, I see. Wasn’t it supposed to be impossible to win there, too?

I am sure their advise to Iran is as good as that they gave to Iraq.

The Russian general has it right. Of course we would not "win." Our hands would be tied by the same old political correct crappola that is limiting our effectiveness in Iraq and caused us to "lose" the war in Vietnam. It is simply not possible to "win" against terrorist-style fighting if politics and hand-wringing over collateral damage is allowed to influence the waging of the war.

Until it gets REALLY bad, the Western world will continue it's pussying around and kowtowing to the appeasers of the world. When it finally gets to the point where the limpwristed leftists have knives at their throats at every turn in their own backyards, THEN we will be able to drop the bombs and blow them away once and for all.
