“Imus knows he’s a goner at CBS.”

I think you’re right, and Imus must really feel good about his ineffectual groveling before Sharpton. Hence his comment about taking his suspension ‘with dignity’, of which he has absolutely none. He’ll long regret not having gone down swinging.

Howard Stern was right. Imus apologized like it was his first radio gig. He should have told Sharpton to go F himself.

Imus goes on Sharpton’s show and makes big news, gets further embarassed, and pushes the story to the top story on the news (#1 mistake in PR damage control). And he still gets canned.
