To: Leftism is Mentally Deranged

I was falsely accused of stealing some years ago by a neighbor. He flat out lied to the police. Eventually it was proven that he was a liar (he was not only a liar, but also an idiot) and I was cleared. He was never charged or punished in any way by the system. I was told by a police officer that had I not been such a “sweet housewife” that it might have ended up much worse. (Lovely... “roll eyes”) It was very traumatic for me to be falsely accused (even of a minor crime), and I have no sympathy for such folks. It’s scary how just one persons accusation can cause so much trouble.

Many years ago, I was falsely accused of causing a woman to have an auto accident. Her written report was that, “I ran her car off the road, and she injured her knee.”

She was black and worked as a secretary for a black lawyer. I am white. I was in total disbelief when I received a letter, written on a lawyer’s letterhead, that I was responsible for her “accident.” I immediately called my insurance company and they investigated.

A rep from my insurance company came to my house and told me where it occurred. It brought back a memory from a month or so before. He recorded my explanation....

I was stopped at a red light at an intersection. I proceeded straight when the light turned green, however I proceeded slowly since there was a car, from the right, making a right turn (on red) into my path. No big deal...Now traffic was moving along on the 30 mph street. There was a navy or black car behind me blowing the horn incessantly. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the driver’s arms waving....horn still blowing. I remember wondering what they were trying tell me...that one of my tires was flat? ...it didn’t feel like it... ....my coat belt was caught in the door and dragging on the ground?

Well after taking my statement, my insurance agent told me not to worry....that she was LATE for work that day, and that I wasn’t moving fast enough through the intersection for her. He said it was a case of her “working for a lawyer and knowing too much.”

Obviously, she NEVER ran off the road, as the letter stated, since she was following me the entire time waving her arms and blowing the horn. The office, where she worked, was not far from that intersection....perhaps 1/4 mile, if that.

Scarey, isn’t it? But I never heard another thing about it once the agent left my house.
