FNC just announcing that Fred Thompson has announced he has a form of Indulent Lymphoma (?).. the good kind of lymphoma .. he is in remission.

I would think "good kind" belongs in quotes... any kind of cancer is not a "good" kind at all.

Still, if it is in remission, then he's pretty much in the same boat as Guiliani and McCain as cancer survivors.

I don’t think lymphoma remissions are generally very durable, especially at Fred’s age. This is not to say he will not be treated repeatedly, but the treatments must change with each reoccurrence, and they become increasingly debilitating.

No, he's not, trust me I know. Lymphoma is nasty, nasty stuff. You can get by for a long time, but when it finally breaks loose it is horrid, painful and quick.

"he's pretty much in the same boat as Guiliani and McCain as cancer survivors." ....that pretty well sums it up. Wasn't there something recent about McCain's skin cancer possibly kicking up? A new spot or something?
