Shock jock Howard Stern is no fan of embattled Don Imus, but he said he knows what his fellow talk show host should have told critics: "F**k you.
"He's apologizing like a guy who got his first broadcasting job, Stern told his Sirius Satellite Radio audience after Imus apologized for his derogatory comment about the Rutgers womens basketball team.
"He should have said, "F**k you, its a joke.
Former radio host Bob Grant no stranger to controversy also weighed in on the Imus flap, according to the New York Daily News.
Grant was fired from New York radio powerhouse WABC over a remark he made about Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, who was aboard a plane that crashed in Croatia in 1996. Grant told a caller: "My hunch is [Brown] is the one survivor. Maybe its because at heart Im a pessimist. After Brown was found dead, Grants WABC contract was terminated.
"Everything doesnt come out the way you want, he said regarding Imus comment.
"There were many times when Id be going home and say to myself, What the hell did I say that for? But thats the pace you work at. Thats what people dont take into account.
Stern is right. Imus has such a rep for being a tough, “irreverant” guy. He should have made his apology to the ladies and told Jackson and especially Sharpton to shove it up their back end.
I think Imus’s boss should play rap music in his spot for the next 2 weeks.
I’m an old geezer. Neither Stern or Imus has ever appealed to me in the slightest. They are not witty, engaging or otherwise interesting. Listening to them is akin to being exposed to a bad smell: the less, the better.
Right!!! Some of that real UGLY stuff
Being an old geezer also, I agree with you.
stern hasn’t known a “right” day in his miserable, perverted, potty mouthed punk life.
and Imus is just a racist bigoted ass.
next case...
As far as Imus and his battle with the likes of Sharpton, Jackson and his socialist bosses in the DBM...
I HOPE THEY ALL EAT EACH OTHER ALIVE.
rap music + Chris Rock monologues + “Al Sharpton’s greatest hits”
That’s what should fill the airwaves now, both in the Imus time slot and on every other network...... this is such a PC pile of nonsense. I don’t care about Imus, have barely ever heard/watched him and don’t like him, but this was such a trivial matter. What he said was far milder than the kind of crap that is spewed all over the place every day by people that the racist race-baiter Al Sharpton adores.
Yes, critically-acclaimed Grammy Award winning “music” like, “It’s Tough Being a Pimp”.
I’d never even heard of Imus until fairly recently and I’ve always thought Howard Stern was a pig.
Howard Stern makes Don Imus look like a prince. Imus pokes fun at politicians, pushes the latest country/western music CD’s and has a generally light hearted albeit irreverent show. Stern is a human vomit bag that parades around dysfunctional whores and wallows in his own scatological world view. Stern is the one who needs to f*** off.
Imus & Stern...festering boils on the buttocks of humanity...wastes of electrons they are. Technology should be better put to better uses than distributing their twaddle.
Howard Stern is a revolting piece of *bleep, the very fact he is taking up for Imus shows that Imus needs to clean up his act.
I never liked either one of them, not even when I was in high school...ironically, I thought the 2 of them were lame since they were old guys trying to act cool.
When Imus returns he should start his show each day with rap music that has worse lyrics than anything he said. Apparently this “art form” is widely accepted by “those people”.
Nailed it.
LOL. There is nothing I have ever heard from Howard Stern that I did not hear first in the 8th grade locker room in 1971.
Howard Stern is a pig. and Imus is a cowboy hat wearing POS. Howvere I agree with Howard on this one . he should have told the ladies publicly he got acarriad away and screwed up and then told Al Sharpton and jesse jackson to kiss his Azz.
Why should one biogto be foreced to apologise to two others who have said thing just as bad or worse. Imus’s statement didnt get anyone killed like Al’s did.
Can a recovering alcoholic who is not drinking still be forced into rehab?
