I cannot tell you how many people have asked me about my thoughts on Don Imus. As a student of broadcasting, I know Don Imus was one of the original shock jocks. I listened to him growing up in New York City in the late 60s and early 70s.
He is a radio icon.
That said, it is time for him to go.
I, for one, am really tired of the diatribes, the humor at others expense, the cruelty that passes for funny. Don Imus isnt the only one doing this, but today hes the one in the hot seat.
What he said was vile and disgusting. It denigrated an entire team and by extension, a community and its pride in a group that had excelled.

Ollie Williams says: “Hell yes”.
What the he!! is an alroker? They should have stapled his mouth instead of his stomach.
Me too, but not like this. Just like I absolutely despise Alberto Gonzales, but do not want him gone over this non-scandal.
How about the "Imus and Al" show?
Yes, via Interscope Records, circa 1990-1994.
"Ho" means "female of color"
I have watched him a few times, I just wonder whether Tim Russert will appear on the show again.
“I just wonder whether Tim Russert will appear,...”
That’s an interesting point. Not only will the guy be drawn and quartered,...but maybe he won’t have any guests upon his return?? Russert, McCain, Matthews, Kerry...the show may not be able to book anyone.
And anybody that is “insensitive” enough to call in will have to go through the prerequisite ‘kick the Iman’ for 10 minutes before actually getting down to biz.
Is Charles still on the show? He used to be Imus’s conservative foil.
I saw him keeping a low profile
Well,..I do like Charles. The fact of the matter is they all play with the same fire through association, which is probably why folks like Russert won’t be seen on “Imus in the Morning” again.
