"for men "ever done any of the following with another male" [6% 'ever', but 2.9% in last 12 months -- only 1.6% exclusively with men], and for women "ever had any sexual experience of any kind with another female" (p. 9) [11.2%; 4.4% in last 12 months only 1.3% exclusively with female(s)]" If you've had sex with someone of the same sex in the last 12 months then you should be counted as gay. So 2.9% for men and 4.4% for women. The real discovery here is the much higher incidence of bisexuality in women vs. men. Women are also about twice as likely to have experimented with homosexuality as men. BUT men are slightly more likely to be exclusively gay. These numbers refute the 10% number that you hear about and fall in line with the more reasonable 3-5% range. However it also reveals Lesbianism is much more common than one generally thinks.

I checked out the discussion thread. Refreshing to see it so well debated over there.
The one point raised over there that is tangential, but is never adequately addressed, is the question of whether homo’s should be able to opt out of paying school taxes because they can’t produce children.
Education, especially education, is a public benefit everyone reaps. Anyone questioning this need only fly to Honduras, Nigeria, or any other country that has ‘opted out’ of a public school benefit.
I’m amazed people still use such specious counter-arguments.
