What was the source of this information? If true, I will pitch my soy sauce and stay away from Chinese restaurants as well.

a good substitute for soy sauce is Dr. Bragg’s Liquid Aminos, sold in health food stores. It tastes exactly like soy sauce but lighter in flavor.
