If this guy brandishes a deadly weapon on his property without cause, he should obviously be examined before he kills someone including children who may have the misfortune to have stepped on his property - or, more likely, gets himself killed.
But to attempt to morph a looney into a Republican stereotype is low indeed.
Carrying a weapon is a lot different than pointing it at people and/or issuing threats.
Don't read more into this than what's there. It doesn't say "Evil Republican forced crew from property at gunpoint".
Carrying a gun on your own property is no crime and no conclusions of any kind should be drawn from it.
